Please can someone help me?

I am looking for a track that i have heard being played in the background during advertisements for the Demento Society. I have heard the track used from between 1994 and 1998 advertisements but it may have been used for a longer period.

The track is a fast paced tune played on what sounds like a modified piano alough could be electronic. Between the piano playing tune there are various sound effects thrown in randomly. A short sample of this track was used on a UK slot machine probably dating from the mid 90s.

I wouold love to hear this in full and would like to search for it on youtube.

Thanks in advance

Richard

Are you talking about the one used on, for instance, the first Demento Society spot on 96-33? That's a sped up version of "La Polka Du Colonel (Colonel's Polka)" by Elsa Popping & Her Pixieland Band which he has occasionally played part of during the main show.

Or are you thinking of "Shoot The Piano Player" which is piano with light drums? But it doesn't have sound effects, so probably you're thinking of Elsa Popping.

Hi

Thank you for your replies and help. it is not either of those two though.

One example of it is on 98-11 special topic car tunes. The Demento Society spot is somewhere on disk 2 but I cannot put my hands on the disc at the moment but have found another instance of it. It is on 97-52 (Funny 25) disk 2, track 2 and it follows Wimsical Will's Return to Jerassic Park which was No 6.

It sounds like a sort of piano to me but may be another instrument.

Thanks

Richard

OK, I had forgotten about that one! I didn't know what it was, so I asked Dr. D, and he said it's called "Rag Tag" and is on a 1989 French production music CD called Fantasy, Pastiche & Sabotage on the Koka-Media label. He got it in Montreal. It also contains "Monkey Donkey" which is the background music on the weekly promos.
