I used to have 15+ years of Letterman taped (VHS) and then scattered shows throughout the years, but I had lost a Storage unit that I could not pay for about 10 years ago, in which I lost MANY Dr. D shows on cassette as well :(.

But anyway, I just wanted to share a compilation episode I found on YOUtube.
I had known about "Joel Hodgson" before creating MST3K (Mystery Science Theatre 3000) from his "Prop" standup comedy routines on Letterman and Evening at the Improv. Super hilarious stuff :D.

BTW - really having a blast looking for the more "obscure" tracks on all the lists posted for the Dr. D shows. I had first listened to the Nation wide broadcasts ("Under the smog berry trees") in Louisiana, and then on KMET 94.7 in LA when my family moved back to SoCal.
I wish I could afford to listen to the rebroadcasts, but times are hard and I don't do any on-line purchases. But its nice to see people still interested in novelty records and recordings. I had forgotten titles and performers, so its helped with my searches :).

Well, stay demented folks!

That is so sad to hear about your lost archives! By any chance, could this ebay auction of Dr. D cassettes a few months ago have been your collection?
