Does anybody out there in dementialand remember this gem from a SNL sketch?
"The ballad of Abdoul Arab"/"The Bel-Airabs"
Come and listen to the story 'bout a man named abdoul,
A poor Bedouin, barely kept his family full,
And then one day, he was shootin at some Jews,
And up thru the ground come a bubblin crude....
Oil that is,
Kuwaiti Kool-Aid----Saudi Soda....
Now the first thing y'know,
Abdoul's a billionaire,
His kin folk say, "You gotta move away from here",
Said" California is the place without a care,"
So he loaded up the Rolls, and they moved to Bel-Aire.....
Swimmin pools---movie stars----Jews...
Some time ago, when Arabscam(arabgate?) was in full swing.
Thoughts?corrections/enlightenments?
