Marvel Comics break-ins from the 60s?

I saw this in the Bullpen Bulletins in Amazing Spider-Man #40 (cover date September 1966):

"And how about Sparklin' Spence Allen! Ol' Spenceroo, whose home base is WKSN (they call it "kissin' radio" - pretty cute, huh?) at Jamestown, N. Y., has been doing some of the funniest take-offs you've ever heard by combining pop records with mirthful Marvel interviews! Grab a listen if you're in the area - they're a blast!"

Sounds like this guy may have been doing Dickie Goodman style break-ins using Marvel Comics characters. Just wondering if anyone has heard these.

Also, anyone here who was a member of the MMMS (Merry Marvel Marching Society)? When you joined you got a flexi-disc and I'm curious to hear what was on that.

BTW, cover date of September probably means this issue was out in June, thus this blurb was probably written at least a month before that, so I'd guess these break-ins were airing in the spring of 1966.

I was a member of the MMMS from 1966. The flex-disc was a scripted light-hearted look at the Marvel Bullpen. It had most of the artists and office staff who were working at Marvel at the time where the cover dates were about February to April 1965. Wally Wood was still on Daredevil, Bob Piwell had been hired but did not speak on the record. By the time I joined, Wood and inker Chic Stone had left for Atlas, Ditko was gone, so I didn't really know who they were--I liked Gene Colan and Jim Steranko.

Nice to hear from an MMMS member! I assume the flexi is long since gone. I've been looking for it since last year and had no luck.
