This is the earliest Christmas Dr. Demento Show known to exist. (If anyone
has a copy of 12-25-71 or 12-24-70 please let me know!) Note that there
are many Christmas records throughout the show, but a fair number of
non-Christmas records too. It wasn't until 1975 that he did a full 4-hour
all-Christmas show on KMET.

Also note that there are some "straight" Christmas items included too - some
wouldn't be heard again since they weren't demented enough. On the other
hand, there many be a few here that were *too* demented to be played in
later years!

#1 The Twelve Days Of Christmas - The Mushroom Tab. Choir
Quibble: I've always seen this credited as "The Twelve Drugs of
Christmas", though the image accompanying the Discogs entry
<https://www.discogs.com/Mushroom-Tab-Choir-The-Help-Put-The-X-Back-In-Xmas/release/7005550>
makes it appear as if there's no official credit at all.

In recent years, it appears to be credited with the subtitle "The
Chickens are in the Chimes"....r

Was Terry's post removed? Right, the original release shows no titles, so anything I enter is just as likely to be correct as incorrect. I think I started entering it as "The Twelve Days Of Christmas" based on what Dr. D typed on the playlist, so I've standardized on that, but cross-referenced it under "The Twelve Drugs Of Christmas" in case people are searching for it that way.

But "The Chickens Are In The Chimes" is a completely different record by Sascha Burland & The Skipjack Choir w/ Mason Adams.
