The Dr. Demento Show #14-05 - February 1, 2014
Special Topic: Black History Month
At the end of this show, Dr Demento invited listeners to suggest other songs and
bits by African-American performers that weren't included...while it's probably
a little late to get it in while February's still in force, I'm surprised he
didn't include (and in fact, if I'm using the playlist search engine correctly,
has never played) anything by someone a little angrier and yet still funny (i.e.
"makes you laugh but makes you think"): Oscar Brown Jr....

The obvious cut to represent Mr Brown would be his 1974 single "The Lone
Ranger", from the 1973 album "Brother Where Are You"....

Here's hoping that some future show will address this omission....r
