I've been searching for an mp3 of this Carlin rarity. It's a Little David Records promotional 45 of "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television" for Carlin's "Indecent Exposure" greatest hits LP. I remember it from my college radio station in 1978 and haven't seen or heard it since.

Here is a page with a more detailed description and pictures:

Can anyone assist? Thank you very much.

Hmmm, I thought I had this, but I guess I'm confusing it with other EPs. Very interesting they put out a censored version of this bit! I assume it wasn't as good as the version Damaskas made for Dr. D. Did this version just use straight beeps?

That was the best part. The words weren't bleeped out but the audio was reversed! So instead of "fuck" you hear "kcuf." Same for the other words. I'm not famaliar with what the Damaskas version is.

Ah, we had a great example of that method just before the Doc went to
online-only, in the song I came to know as "Schniska Zitskas" (which is
what "Sex Positions" sounds like when you reverse it)....r

The Damaskas edit was done for Dr. Demento using various sound effects, something unique for each word, but the same one each time that particular word came up. George heard it and liked it and asked for a copy.

Interesting! I've never heard that. Is there any way to get a copy?

Well, it's been played on many Dr. Demento shows, so you can hear it on any of the following at the moment:
