Ok, long ago in a galaxy far away, I heard a song late at night on Dr. Demento.

I don't remember all the lyrics, but hopefully enough so someone can point me in the right direction...

I goes something like:

I was swinging from a vine
with some good ole friends of mine
down at the swimmin' hole one hot July

We were feeling mighty free
left our clothes hung on a tree
to go skinny dipping,
Jim and Ted and I

Then we heard some voices risin'
and there come a big baptizin'
to invade the little spring
in which we swam
...
..
.
That white dress looked fantastic
clinging just like shrink wrap plastic
what cold water did I hardly could believe
...
..
.
Some folks say we walked on water
I just know the preachers daughter
passed out cold
as we streaked upon the shore
...
..
.

So I know those bits and I really really want to find the whole thing but nothing shows up on web searches :(

Anyone have this knowledge?

Thanks in advance!

By any chance is it "Local Swimmers Disrupt Baptism" by Dick and Anne
Albin?...been played ten times on the show from 1985-2010; the last four times
(Aug 12 2001, Sep 24 2006, July 8 2007 and Aug 21 2010) are in the archives....r

Self-replying to add: the lyrics do match what you posted...the first playing of
the song back in 1985 was just posted yesterday over in
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.dr-demento....r
