About ten years ago there was a song about reincarnation that got a fair amount
of play on the show...in it, the narrator (in the person of a group of male
singers) recounts one past life after another, giving year of birth, name, a
brief description of that person's situation in life, and what finally happened
to end that life...though most of the lives are ordinary people nobody's heard
of, one verse simply said "In eighteen hundred and nine, I was born: Abraham
Lincoln" and then drops straight into the chorus, which ends like all the others
with "Until We Get It Right"....

Can't find it in the playlists using any of the likely keywords...anybody help
out?...r

Okay, managed to scrounge it up..."Song of Many Deaths" by the Foremen, which
was played all of three times on the show, all of them in 1994....r

Yes, "Song Of Many Deaths", a title that's of course not in the lyrics, and if I recall correctly he didn't announce the title the first time he played it. So Annie and I gave it another title at first, which I don't recall now, but could probably be found by searching for 1994 playlists in the newsgroup.
