#001 Keep On Cooking (PBS Digital Remix) - Julia Child

Congratulations to Scuzz Twittly for being the highest-ranked living funny recording
a4rtist for the year of 2012. ISGD listeners picked the late Julia Child's remixed
PBS Digital Studios recording as their favorite in commeration of the 100th anniversary
of her birth.

2012 was a rich year in funny recording diversity. Fascinating Aida's a capella song
about cheap airline frustration was our listener's third most requested song.

Coming in at #4 was a song that was released late last year, and was #1 in the year-to-date
standings for most of the first half of 2012. Smooth-E's gassy song managed to stay afloat
in the top five despite heavy competetion from Devo's new song for 2012, in fact, if the
weekly Demented Music Poll of 2012 lasted another two weeks, Devo might have overtaken
Smooth-E's song.

Also congratulations to the rest of the artists that made the top 10 funny recordings
of 2012: Cledus T. Judd, one of our favorites, GZee Productions, the late Mister Rogers,
the host of ISGD David Tanny, and Jimmy Fallon, who had six songs in the top 100,
and five in the top 50 for 2012!

Some other highlights: Billy Jonas's album from three years ago produced two songs,
Ryan Hopak had a new song and an old song, Dark Materia's piece about a Star Trek:
The Next Generation captain, a song about misunderstood lyrics, a song that comments
about one of the most overplayed hits of the year, the Star Trek original series
captain gets one in there, break-in recordings ranked strongly, and several
past favorites made it into the chart.

Number of songs in the top 100 by artist:
6: Jimmy Fallon
3: Tom Lehrer
3: "Weird Al" Yankovic
2: The Key of Awesome
2: Sheriff John
2: Ryan Hopak, etc.
2: Mark Jonathan Davis
2: David Tanny
2: Billy Jonas

Now first, the bad news. Week 1 of the Demented Music Poll of 2013 is history.
Week 2 has just begun. Request your favorite funny songs now. Each voting period
ends Saturday nights at 6pm PST.

Well David, quite a unique list. However after looking around your site, I
signed up for an account, but because of the layout, there seems no way in
Linux without javascript or flash, cannot stream or download any of these
shows--and-I
would love to listen especially to this one, as I have always enjoyed spliceup
records, or as you call them "breakin" also your Chanukah show would be of
interest.
I wouldn't ordinarily write the list with these concerns, but already e-mailed
2 places on your site.
Even an accessabile place to buy CDs or downloads would be a great
alternative--and-would be much appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance

To answer your query.

Captain Wayne's website (madmusic.com) is designed with the need to have your browser
use javascript and flash. I know javascript is limited to browsers and OS's that can run it.

You cannot download the shows as Mad Music's licensing agreement with ASCAP/BMI/SESAC
prohibits downloading of the shows on madmusic.com. A downloading license would cost
a lot more for Wayne to bear.

You could try my site http://www.dfsxradio.com and search for albums and downloads
using the Amazon link.

Thanks for your post
